The Longview Rodeo is one of the city’s family-favorite events. The Longview Greggton Rotary Club presents the 32 Annual Longview PRCA Rodeo on April 21 and 22 at the Longview Fairgrounds Rodeo Area. We are ProRodeo featuring Bull Riding, Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Mutton Bustin’, and boot scramble events for the kids, plus action-paced ProRodeo entertainment. 

Friday, April 21 is “Free Child Night,” sponsored by Peter’s Chevrolet. Friday, one child per adult can get in free with 3 can goods and the purchase of an adult ticket. Can goods collected benefit the Hiway Rescue Mission. Saturday night is “Tough Enough to Wear Pink?” theme night sponsored by Texas Oncology, Longview.

Other attractions include food trucks, classic fair foods, and specialty cuisine. Cold beer and cocktails are available with a valid ID. Come early and browse the vendor booths featuring custom rodeo apparel, jewelry, crafts, and kids’ toys. Get your kicks – ride the Electric Bull! For the kids, a petting zoo and a gentle giant Ankole-Watusi bull will be on hand for children’s rides and photo ops.

Fortunately, we have NFR Clown, Barrelman of the Year John, and Harrison this year. Taking home Comedy Act of the Year for the 7th time, Coors Man in the Can for the 6th time, and for the first time – 2022 NFR Clown of the Year!

Legendary Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Famer Sammy Andrews is the official Rodeo stock contractor for the Longview PRCA Rodeo. He and his famous bucking bull world champion Bodacious, share the coveted honor of being inducted into the elite organization reserved for rodeo’s best. Sammy was named the 2002 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor of the Year!

The Longview Rodeo is a Longview Greggton Rotary Club fundraiser committed to supporting Youth, Family, and Community Programs. All Rodeo proceeds are reinvested into local non-profit programs, scholarships, and facilities. The Rotary Club has contributed over $1,000,000 in local non-profit supported programs and initiatives.

Gates will open at 6:00 p.m., and the Rodeo will kick-off around 7:30. You can save on adult tickets by purchasing in advance at all East Texas area ABC Autoparts Stores, Cavender’s – Longview, and BootBarn – Longview. Additionally, tickets are available online at www.longviewrodeo.com. Children’s tickets can be purchased at the gate only. Adult tickets are also available at the gate the night of the rodeo.
